There are bakeries, and then there's Hobbs House. A family business now in its fifth generation, baking out of the Cotswolds since the 1920s — these are people who have spent a century getting very good at one thing. You can tell the moment you pick up a loaf.

Everything Hobbs House makes is handmade by a team of skilled bakers who take the craft seriously. No shortcuts, no unnecessary additives, no compromise on ingredients. They use long fermentation methods, good flour, and actual baking knowledge — which sounds obvious, but is rarer than you'd think.

They're also a certified B Corp and recipients of a King's Award for Sustainable Development, which tells you something about how they operate.
