Kraft Heinz x Office Pantry

A Coffee Tasting That Proved It’s About More Than Just Taste

Let’s be honest - coffee has got expensive.

Really expensive.

Bad weather at origin. One year too much rain. The next, nowhere near enough. Meanwhile, demand for your morning flat whites and choca mocha latte hasn’t slowed down one bit.

I’ve seen £7..even £9 lattes on the high street recently. Wild!

For offices, it’s the same story. People want café-quality coffee every morning, without the inconsistency or premium price. That’s where Kraft Heinz came to us.

The Brief - Rethinking Office Coffee

In September 2025, Office Pantry was invited to deliver a large-scale tasting experience at Kraft Heinz’s offices in The Shard. The goal wasn’t just to showcase great coffee - it was to help Heinz evaluate the entire drinks experience for their workplace.

This meant:

  • Coffee quality

  • Range and variety

  • Equipment performance

  • Service, support, and reliability

And crucially: how it all felt for the people using it every day.

So I brought the full squad!

  • Mozzo Coffee - pop-up barista bar

  • Birchall Tea - premium teas for non-coffee drinkers

  • Blendsmiths /-FLOW - matcha, chai, and hot chocolate

  • Dr Coffee UK - commercial machine left in the office for a full week

Our job was simple:
show them what great workplace coffee really looks like.

Plot Twist: Tube Strike Week… Because Of Course 🙃

With 10+ calendars already locked in and months of planning, rescheduling wasn’t an option. Attendance dropped to about a quarter of the office.

I thought, “Well, we’re here. Let’s make it happen anyway.”

And honestly? That decision made all the difference.

The Tasting Day: Coffee Meets Experience

Even with fewer people in the building, the vibes were amazing! People lined up for barista-made coffee, explored the drinks menu, and tried the machine themselves. And they weren’t just sipping; they were asking questions, chatting about how the setup could work long-term in their office.

Meanwhile, Kraft Heinz were also trialling two competitors at a later date. Both ran their own tastings. But what really stood out wasn’t just the coffee. It was:

  • Attention to detail - every cup, every interaction

  • Service - guiding people through drinks and machine trials

  • Experience - creating something memorable, not just functional

The Result: Why Kraft Heinz Chose Office Pantry

By the end of the week, we’d won them over.

It wasn’t just about taste. It was about showing up prepared, offering a full experience, and going the extra mile - even when conditions weren’t perfect.

And that’s what I love about this work. Great workplace coffee isn’t just beans or machines. It’s the experience, the service, and how it makes people feel every time they pour a cup.

Takeaway: What Great Workplace Coffee Really Means

If you’re thinking about upgrading your office coffee or exploring new machines, remember: it’s never just about the cup. It’s about:

  • Consistency — every cup tastes great

  • Experience — people remember how it feels

  • Support — service behind the machine matters

That’s why Kraft Heinz chose Office Pantry. And that’s exactly what we aim to deliver every day.

So if your office coffee is feeling a bit… meh, let’s talk.

Because great coffee at work isn’t a luxury — it’s a game-changer ☕️
