Joe's Story

Joe has the experience dealing with (and drinking lots of) fine teas around London. He believes that tea can bring people together. And so, after much sweat, toils, travels and tea-guzzling, Joe created Joe’s Tea Company in 2012. Joe’s dream is to bring Britain its favourite drink, tea, in its finest form, and as a result take the ‘toff’ out of fine tea. 

Environmentally-Friendly Tea

Joe’s tea comes from Sri Lanka, which happens to (or most probably was intentional) provide the world’s only internationally certified ozone friendly tea. Therefore, all Joe’s Tea Co. products carry this certification.

Not only this, but Joe wants to ensure his products have the smaller carbon footprint possible. Which is why he harvests, blends and packages his products in Sri Lanka, and then ships the finished product by sea (rather than air).

In Sri Lanka organic farming is used to grow the tea. In short, organic soil is less dependent on oil-based fertilisers and pesticides, and is more flexible to changes in climate. Organic farming also provides homes for up to 50% more wildlife (such as bees, butterflies and birds) than non-organic farms.

Available as both loose-tea and bags, Joe’s Tea Co. has a wide variety of flavours. Whether you’re after a classical flavour, like Ever-So-English Breakfast, are looking to unwind and go for the Sleepy Cow Tea, or want something fruity like The Berry Best, there is a flavour for whatever mood you’re in.
