The Orbit Brewery Story
Orbit was born out of travel, beer thirst and music.
After founder Robert had beer traveling around Scotland, whilst taking a particularly keen interest in visiting as many breweries as he could find, he decided to follow his heart and set up a brewery.
After months of planning and talking to as many people as he could about his project, Robert set up a brewery in a double railway arch in Walworth, SE17.
Brewed in London
The head brewer Mario concocts delicious beers to a soundtrack backing of classic and contemporary tunes from vinyl records. This same natural, authentic and unfiltered sound translates beautifully into the Orbit beer, giving you, dear drinker, a "hi-fidelity experience" - their words not ours, but by Jove do we agree.
The Southwark railway arch, where the brewery is based, today houses a team of 5 who curate the whole process from sourcing ingredients to the actual delivery of the more than palatable beer.
The Beer
Orbit Brewery produce small batch craft beer in a classic European style.
To be specific, it is a Koln style lager. Koln style lager, originated from Düsseldorf, Germany, is a smokey, darker beer over a classic lager. This means it is top-fermented instead of bottom-fermented beer, with a copper colour and big head when drawn from draught.
Having said that, Orbit compliment these with a couple of pale ales too.
Everything brewed is unpasteurised, unfiltered and un-fined, giving the beers that rich colour, flavour, and dry finish.
Each beer is named after a musical reference, and in Nico, Ivo, Neu and Peel we are delivering to you their core range.
As always, you'll have beer tasting notes within your craft beer box and you can arrange a complimenting beer snack pack included. You can order yours by clicking here →
