Stoats is a classic Scottish product. Not only are all the products made from Scottish oats, creating a beautifully blended porridge bar, but it was founded by Tony and Bob (above) in Scotland too.

In fact the very first porridge was sold at Edinburgh Farmers Market, in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle.

The Stoats Story

In 2004, Tony and Bob started mulling an idea around Scottish oats. 

Showing they were willing to put their oats where their mouths are, in 2005 they started a road trip in the name of "market research" visiting music festivals serving porridge out of a trailer.

It turned out this genius Scottish duo knew a thing or two about porridge, and before they knew it their long trailer queue's told them they need to think of another way to get porridge into the hands of busy people. Later that same year, the porridge oat bar was born.

After 2 years of producing more and more porridge bars, Tony and Bob found it to be hungry work. In their peckish state, they made a big bowl of porridge to sate them. In fact it turned out so big that it broke the Guinness World Record for "World's Largest Bowl of Porridge" in 2007.

Following their heroic theme, in 2012 Stoats delivered 26,000 servings of porridge to athletes in the Olympic Village during the London 2012 Olympics.
